About the firm
Strong financial foundations
create confident leaders.
Financial Architect Solutions, LLC was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to help entrepreneurs and small business owners regain financial clarity and control of their businesses.
Our story
Why the firm exists.
Too often, business owners launch their companies with passion — to serve their communities, provide meaningful services, and build something of their own. But as their businesses grow, they find themselves buried in bookkeeping, financial reporting, compliance, and the constant demands of running the business.
Instead of leading and growing, they are stuck managing spreadsheets and reconciling accounts.
Financial Architect Solutions was created to change that. We believe the financial function of a small business deserves the same deliberate design as any other part of it — and that when it is built properly, it stops consuming the owner’s attention and starts informing their decisions.
We don’t just manage numbers. We design financial systems that support sustainable growth.

Taylor Barnhart founded Financial Architect Solutions after eighteen years building and running finance functions from the inside — as a staff accountant, a financial analyst, a corporate controller, and twice as a chief financial officer.
That path matters. It began at a community bank in Seattle, which is where you learn how a lender actually reads a set of books. It moved through analysis, and then through the controller's seat at three organizations, where the work was almost always the same: inherit records nobody trusted, and rebuild them into something leadership could run the company on.
Most recently, as chief financial officer of a multifamily property group, that meant reconstructing multiple years of financials, standing up the accounting systems and controls the department still runs on, and training the team to close on a schedule lenders and investors could count on.
Financial Architect Solutions exists to bring that same discipline to businesses that need it but could never justify a full-time executive to deliver it.
Experience
Four disciplines, one perspective.
Eighteen years spanning banking, finance, accounting, and asset management. Each one changes how we read a set of books.
Banking
Community banking
How lenders read a financial package — and what makes them say yes. Useful long before you need a line of credit.
Finance
Development & analysis
Forecasting, capital structure, and the analysis behind decisions that commit a business for years.
Accounting
Three controller seats
The disciplined mechanics underneath everything else: accurate records, closed on time, documented properly.
Asset Management
Institutional portfolios
A portfolio manager's habit of measuring performance honestly and allocating toward what actually returns.
Track record
Eighteen years, in order.
From the accounting desk of a community bank to the CFO seat — the same problem at increasing scale, solved the same way each time.

How we practice
Four commitments we hold to.
- 01
Design before operation
We do not inherit a mess and maintain it. Before we run anything, we structure it — accounts, calendar, controls, reporting — so the system holds as the business grows.
- 02
Plain language, always
A financial statement that needs an interpreter has failed. Everything we deliver comes with an explanation an owner can act on without a finance background.
- 03
Discretion as standard
We handle the most sensitive information in a business. Confidentiality is not a clause in an agreement — it is how the practice operates every day.
- 04
Partner, not vendor
Our goal is to become a trusted strategic partner to every client we serve. That means telling you what you need to hear, including when the answer is not what you hoped.
“Trust is not assumed — it is earned through professionalism, transparency, and consistent execution.”
Our clients rely on us not only for financial expertise, but for integrity and discretion. Your financial foundation deserves nothing less.
